MAGNUM CAFÉ, Kaufleuten Zurich
As a highlight of this year's SHOWCASE, Magnum Photos Paris will present a Magnum Café. Speeches by Magnum photographers, film essays and books will give SHOWCASE visitors the possibility to take home new inputs, learn more about photography and film, and become acquainted with the uniqueness of Magnum, a photographic co-operative of great diversity and distinction, owned by its photographer-members. With powerful individual vision, the 78 Magnum photographers chronicle the world and interpret its peoples and personalities, events and issues . Through its four editorial offices in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo as well as a network of fifteen sub-agents, Magnum Photos provides the press, publishers, the advertising world, television stations, galleries and museums across the world with photographic time documents.

The exact timings of the screenings, short information on the essays as well as the confirmed speeches will be published in the printed program which can be downloaded as of May 21st, 2007.

ART BASEL, Messe Basel
SHOWCASE offers its visitors a special corporate rate on entrance tickets to Art Basel (for June 13th and June 16th). These tickets can be ordered along with a SHOWCASE pass or purchased at the SHOWCASE box office. Information on the world famous Art Fair:

SHOIREE SHOT Schauspielhaus Basel
On June 13th, a photography auction in Basel organized by SOIREE SHOT will take place. Approx. 40 works of young photographers can thus be acquired at reasonable prices, amongst them, works by: Abrar Anoush and Aimée Hoving, Athanasiou Nadja, Bill Linus, Bonajo Melanie, Chew Leon, Knörr Christian, Kranzler Paul, Mark the cobrasnake, Rappo Stephane, Weber Herbert, Wellington Fisher Joel, Wichmann Bernd Edgar, and many others.
