REFERENCES For four years have the founders Rea Eggli and Danielle Stutz been succesful with SHOWCASE – INTERNATIONAL PORTFOLIO REVIEW. Now it takes place the fifth time. On April 4, 2002, in Zurich's "Blauer Saal", 20 Swiss photographers and 18 national and international exhibitors - among them famous names such as LUNDLUND and Bransch - exhibited a total of 200 high quality portfolios. On May 13, 2003, for the first time with an expanded concept SHOWCASE – International Portfolio took place in the Kaufleuten, Zurich. For a whole day, the audience had the opportunity to see a wide range of shooting stars and established photographers from all over Europe. International decision-makers from areas such as advertising, image editing, art, media, and culture met to discover promising young talents, to intensify business relations and to encounter trends in photography, as determined by internationally celebrated photographers like Rankin and Elaine Constantine. For the second time, on May 7, 2004, SHOWCASE will take place in Zurich in the form of an extensive forum for photography. Rea Eggli is the owner of the recently founded culture agency swissandfamous in Zurich. It is her agency's goal to develop and to bring successfully to market a new cultural platform. Rea Eggli can look back on quite a number of years of international experience in marketing communication and event management. She worked for Swisscom in India, before returning back to Switzerland via Stuttgart and Vienna. She then worked as an event / account manager for the MCI Group in Zurich for two years. Her IMAKA management training (AKAD) and her training as a SAWI culture manager have proven to be helpful in her professional career. Within the scope of Portfolionight 02, Rea Eggli was responsible for public relations, sponsoring, and media partnerships as well as the working out of event concepts and the ensuring of the corresponding logistics. She will be in charge of the same tasks for SHOWCASE. |
Danielle Stutz, owner of the photographers’ agency DS Photographers, studied journalism at Zurich University and then went on to gain practical experience in advertising with Ringier, Zurich, before working as an advertising assistant with McCann-Erickson and undergoing corresponding further training at the SAWI. Before taking up in 2005 her own business, she worked as an art buyer for more than 7 years for McCann-Erickson and afterwards for Wirz Werbung. Within the scope of SHOWCASE, Danielle Stutz is responsible for the working out, production and organisation of invitations as well as registration / participation and the definition of programs for exhibitors and visitors. |
